The exhibition Synthesis 90 Minutes kicks off the Open Studio sessions

The exhibition features a selection of work by artists taking part in the Open Days

Barcelona’s FAD (Foment de les Arts i del Disseny) presents the exhibition Synthesis 90 Minutes, an ephemeral exhibition that lasts only 90 minutes. It features a selection of work by artists who have participated in the Barcelona Open Studios sessions. The exhibition is a rethinking of the previous format, designed to adapt to new trends in contemporary art and to encourage participation and achieve greater interaction with the public, while creating a gateway to the professional circuit for the creators involved, whether they be designers or artists.

The exhibition is also the starting point for the Barcelona Open Studios sessions, aimed at displaying the work of artists in situ at the place where it is made – in the creators’ own workshops. From the 20th to the 29th of May, 29 artists and artisans will show us the most intimate part of their work: the workshop and the creative process. It’s an opportunity to discover and enjoy artistic creation.

The workshops are distributed in neighbourhoods, so on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of May it will be the turn of those in Poble-sec and Ciutat Vella to open their doors to the public while on the 27th, 28th and 29th of May the open doors sessions will move to the neighbourhoods of Sarrià and Gràcia.
