"En route!" with DOCfield>15

Throughout the month of July the festival will offer two photographic itineraries taking in five of the city's current exhibitions accompanied by an expert in the analysis of visual language

The 3rd edition of DOCfield, the Barcelona Festival of Documentary Photography organised by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, began on the 19th of May and will continue up until the 23rd of July.

Of the forty or so documentary and journalism photography exhibitions included in the festival, two itineraries have been organised during the month of July that will take in five - two photographic itineraries designed to acquaint participants with some of the festival's more significant offerings in the company of an expert guide.

The itinerary Eixample: Lluites contemporànies (Modern struggles) will be available on the 4th of July from 10 am to 1 pm and on the 13th of July from 6 pm to 9 pm and will include visits to Occupied Pleasures, by Tanya Habjouqa, in the Palau Robert, and Ucrania: From Maidan to Donbass, by Guillaume Herbaut, in the Institut Francès.

The other itinerary Ciutat Vella: Espai urbà i fotografia social (Urban spaces and social photography) will visit Paper actiu (Active role), by Joan Tomàs, in the Pati Llimona Civic Centre, the photographic intervention project in the streets of the Raval district entitled Esquerdes (Cracks), by the photography organisation RUIDO Photo, and La profunditat del silenci (The depth of silence), by Francesco Zizola, in the Museu Marítim.

Participants in this itinerary, which will be available on the 18th of July from 11am to 2 pm and the 29th of July from 6 pm to 9 pm, will discover how images have been integrated into the urban landscape as a means of speaking out against invisible local conflicts.
