At the “Centre Cívic Ateneu Fort Pienc”, DocsBarcelona Festival features a movie that shows a silent devastating invasion of this semi-aquatic rodent species
A movie that has won several awards at various festivals, like Sheffield, Hamburg and DocsBarcelona itself, Beaverland (Los Casotres) is coming to Barcelona.
Directed by Nicolas Molina and Antonio Luco , the film describes the devastating beaver plague that is destroying the ecosystem of Tierra del Fuego, in the Chilean Patagonia. In 1946, fifty beaver species were introduced in the most southerly island in South America with the aim of promoting the fur trade.
