The festival to celebrate its sixth annual edition with a reflection on love.
The Social Visual Photographic Foundation, an entity committed to promoting the social value of photojournalism, is hosting the sixth edition of DOCfield Barcelona documentary photography festival. For a month the city is set to become the world capital of documentary photography and visual journalism for an event that aims to provoke reflection and debate and generate public opinion on the different themes in the exhibitions. The main theme of this year’s edition is love in its different forms and it includes seven exhibitions in the official section, which is structured around the DOCfield walking route, sixteen guests, guided tours, screenings, a day for journalism professionals and the 5th edition of the DOCfield Dummy Award.
The DOCfield will be held from 8 November to 9 December at different venues in Barcelona. As well as the activities we have already mentioned, there will also be interesting conversations and workshops featuring leading professionals in the sector, including César Deszfuli, Nancy Borowick and Jane Evelyn Atwood.
Most DOCfield activities are free. You’ll find additional information at the following link.
