David Guapo, in the Club Capitol

The showman returns to the theatre on La Rambla from the 3rd to the 27th of September to present the second part of the show “#quenonosfrunjanlafiesta”

Performer David Guapo, the stage name of David Callejón, presents his new show entitled #quenonosfrunjanlafiesta2 (roughly, they can’t spoil or, more literally, f**k up, the party) in the Club Capitol, a monologue packed with anecdotes, double entendres and audience participation.

The subject matter of David Guapo’s performances are difficult to describe as he bases a lot of his content on improvisation, incorporating phrases and anecdotes as the show progresses. What he has promised, however, are some new songs, new jokes and frequent references to his childhood, in effect, a logical continuation of the very successful #quenonosfrunjanlafiesta.

Born in Barcelona, David Callejón’s original intention was to become a musician and, following a two-year sojourn in San Francisco, where he recorded his first record, he began performing in pubs and clubs throughout Barcelona. With time, however, he began to earn a reputation for the jokes he would slip in between songs and it was only a matter of time before he began to focus more and more on comedy. With more than 75,000 Facebook friends and more than 360,000 Twitter followers, Guapo is one of the most popular artists on the social networks.

The production #quenonosfrunjanlafiesta2 can be seen from the 3rd to the 27th of September in the Sala 2 of the Club Capitol and tickets are priced at 23 €. More information is available here.
