The D'A Festival is bringing the finest auteur films to Barcelona

From the 21st of April to the 1st of May we will have the opportunity to see more than 70 films in different styles and on different subjects.

Slowly but surely the  D'A Barcelona International Auteur Film Festival has consolidated its position as one of the highlights of the year for the city’s experimental film fans. This year sees the sixth annual edition, which features over 70 films in different styles that can be seen from the 21st of April to the 1st of May.

 

The festival will consist of the usual sections: Direccions (directors), Talents, Transicions (international festivals) and Retrospectiva, featuring a look back at the work of Sharunas Bartas. In total the festival will include films from 23 counties and feature 12 works by emerging directors and 10 films by female directors.

Highlights of the festival include the opening day with the screening of A Bigger Splash, a new film by Italian director Luca Guadagnino. Other standout titles in the festival are The Next Skin, a new film by Isaki Lacuesta starring Sergi López, Emma Suárez and Àlex Monner, which will bring the festival to its conclusion. The retrospective on Lithuanian director Sharunas Bartas includes the screening of his latest film Peace to Us in Our Dreams.
