D-IVE 2013 Mobile Photography Festival, first edition

From the 19th to the 21st of April the only mobile photography festival in Spain can be seen in the DHUB

For a long time now mobile phones have ceased to be devices for just making and receiving calls, and the inauguration of the first festival dedicated exclusively to mobile phone photography to be held in Spain will take place on Friday the 19th of April at 7 pm in the Mobile World Centre D-IVE

The festival will continue on Saturday the 20th with a number of activities in the DHUB, which for the time being remains closed to the general public. The building, the future headquarters of the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, will play host to nine conferences and a dozen workshops in which attendees may immerse themselves in the world of mobile phone apps and celebrity bloggers such as Alena Kh, VuThéara Kham and Mayka Navarro will be speaking about concepts such as Instagram, Hipstamatic, Color Splash and Snapseed, among others.

On Saturday night a number of the event’s participants will be attending the festival party in El Molino and on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm a number of activities throughout the city will put an end to the D-IVE 2013 festivities.

Over the two days there will also be photowalks, round table discussions, an exhibition displaying the results of a social network competition and a speaker’s corner for oral presentations and exhibitions of both amateur and professional projects.

Barcelona Culture users may obtain two free tickets. More information here.
