Musica>BCN: a concert cycle showcasing a wide variety of styles

Barcelona’s civic centres will host a series of performances by students at the ESMUC music school.

2019 is beginning and the first few months of the year are buzzing with activities. One of the main focuses for these events is the city’s civic centres, which will be hosting the 6th edition of Música> BCN, a cycle of concerts that arose from the collaboration between the city’s network of civic centres and the ESMUC Superior School of Music of Catalonia. These concerts will take us on a journey through the diverse styles that have marked the history of music.

The talented students at ESMUC have therefore prepared seven different concerts that will take place between 10 January and 26 April at four different civic centres: CC Bon Pastor (Sant Andreu), CC Casa Groga (Horta -Guinardó), CC Drassanes (Ciutat Vella) and CC Torre Llobeta (Nou Barris). The seven concerts will be the following: Versonautas (from 10/01 to 03/03), A ritme de jazz (from 17/01 to 25/01), El flamenco i les músiques populars ibèriques i llatinoamericanes (from 31/01 to 12 / 04), Música i emoció a través del quartet de corda (from 02/01 to 02/28), El canzionere de Petrarca (from 2/02 to 2/24), Música clàssica, teatre i humor (from 03/03 to 29/04) and El batec de les músiques del món (from 04/04 to 04/24).
