'Legends of Music'

Four films about musical icons at Phenomena Experience

Following the premiere of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' the cinema is screening four more films on the lives of musical legends.

The success of 'Bohemian Rhapsody', a recently released biopic of Freddy Mercury, serves to demonstrate the popularity of this type of film. With that in mind, Phenomena Experience has scheduled the screening of four films portraying four more musical icons under the title 'Legends of Music'.

The films will be screened from 12 to 25 November at Phenomena Experience. The cycle will begin with 'Walk the Line', the biopic of country singer Johnny Cash on Monday, 12 November. Next up, on 15 November, is Oliver Stone’s 'The Doors' on the life of Jim Morrison.  Bob Dylan will be next, on 23 November, with the feature film 'I'm Not There', in which six different actors play the role of the singer at different stages in his life, including Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Heath Ledger. The cycle will end on 25 November, with the film 'Control', whose portrayal of the tragic life and death of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis was greeted with critical acclaim upon its release in 2007.

Tickets for each screening cost €7 and are available for purchase from the Phenomena website.
