A concert cycle on the terrace of the Catalan History Museum

Jazz is the main attraction of these performances, which are scheduled to take place every Wednesday

Every Wednesday this summer, jazz fans have a date on the terrace of the Catalan History Museum: a pleasant venue where, in the cool of the evening and accompanied, if you want, by a drink, you can enjoy the music of consolidated voices like Laura Simó, who is scheduled to open the cycle on 6 July, or discover up and coming talent such as Eva Fernández, a singer and saxophonist who will be taking to the stage on 13 July. Voices with Jazz is the name of this cycle, which will consist of six concerts that begin at 10pm and are set to run until 10 August. Tickets cost €12 and also provide admission to the museum on the same day from 8pm to 10pm

As well as the concerts mentioned above, the cycle features a performance on 20 July by Wom Trio, a trio with jazz roots who also venture into bossanova, soul and pop. A week later it’s the turn of the Jordi Rabascall Quintet, with a tribute to Frank Sinatra. On 3 July, the protagonist will be Flamingo Tours, a band led by Myriam Swanson. The cycle will finish with Susana Sheiman Open Gate, a recently formed quintet with a repertoire of gospel, soul and swing classics.
