Christmas celebrations at Sagrada Família

This is a good opportunity to see the nativity façade from close up

With Christmas being a Christian festivity, the Sagrada Família aims to help you live it in a special way. Like every year, the temple wants to help you to get a special view of the façade that depicts the first days of Jesus’ life and, on 21, 22 and 23 December from 6pm to 8pm, you can get a close-up view of the nativity scene on the nativity façade, which is located on the Carrer Marina side of the monument.

A six-metre high metal structure will give visitors access to the scene. This initiative recovers a tradition that can be traced back to 1969 and offers a different way of visiting the moment and seeing it from a different perspective, taking in details that are harder to spot from a distance.

Other festive activities on offer at Sagrada Família include workshops and the traditional Christmas Convert held on 18 December, all of which are ways for Barcelona’s most famous monument to wish the city a Merry Christmas.
