Christmas at Casa Ametller

The children’s choir of Sant Gregori school will be singing traditional Christmas songs

Casa Amatller is one of the most charismatic buildings on Passeig de Gràcia, one of the most emblematic designs by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, and one of the icons of Catalan Modernism. It was commissioned by the chocolate manufacturer Antoni Amatller, for whom it is named. It has been open to the public since its last restauration, which finished in 2014, and nowadays hosts a variety of cultural events, including guided tours and the sessions that we are writing about today.

Casa Amatller would like to invite everybody to celebrate Christmas with the Children’s choir of Sant Gregori school who will be singing traditional Christmas songs. The concert is scheduled for 16 and 22 December at 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm and 8pm. Admission is free and the repertoire features songs like El rabadà, Les dotze van tocant, L'Àngel i els pastors, Fum, fum, fum, Els pastorets, El noi de la mare, Cançó de Nadal, Les bèsties del naixement, El petit vailet, Adeste fideles, Brillant el cel, El desembre congelat and El dimoni escuat.

The Christmas programme of Casa Amatller also features dramatized visits, exhibitions and combined visits. Additional information can be found on their website.
