Christmas Market

Christmas Market: your last great date of the year with the world of books

The festival, which is known to many readers as the Winter Sant Jordi, is back at Antigua Fàbrica Damm with more chances to talk about and buy books.

While, at first glance, reading may seem to be a solitary pursuit, like any cultural phenomenon, it produces communities that are passionate about their interests and want to get in touch with like-minded individuals. That’s the aim and the key to the success of the Christmas Market, a one-day fair organized by the TR3SC club at the former Damm Factory, which, over the years, has come to be known as the winter Sant Jordi . It is not as massive as Sant Jordi, that much is clear, but its function is similar: to take books out onto the streets and give readers the chance to share their passion and get close to their favourite writers.

As well as providing readers with the opportunity to buy books at its stalls, this 4th edition of the Christmas Market offers a comprehensive programme of talks, interviews, presentations and all kinds of activities crammed into one frenzied day devoted to book. This year sees the participation of writers such as Xavier Bosch, Víctor M. Amela, Jordi Puntí, Care Santos, Empar Moliner and Rafel Nadal, among many others.

Additional information is available from the TR3SC website, where you can also register for the event.
