Cervantes Literary Gatherings

Every Monday for the past three years, with the exception of the first Monday of every month, the La Sagrera-Marina Clotet Library has organised meetings as part of a project entitled Cervantes Literary Gatherings

During the meetings, the chairperson, Maria Teresa Mangas, welcomes participants in an attempt to exchange views on readings and organise poetry recitals. The meetings are open to anyone with an interest in expressing their opinions regarding poetry and narrative and who shares a general interest in reading and literature.

As an added incentive, the gatherings also provide material for a magazine of the same name which already has five editions to its credit. In the magazine, the participants and organisers publish poems and texts and pay tribute to both well-known writers who are no longer among us as well as to residents of the Sant Andreu district, where the meetings are held.

Prior inscription is not required to attend the Cervantes Literary Gatherings, which are free and open to everyone, the only requisite being the possession of a library card. The meetings take place every Monday, with the exception of the first Monday of every month, from 5 pm to 7 pm in the library conference room.
