“Cénit”, by Standstill, on the 24th of April in l’Auditori

Following a career trajectory of fifteen years, the band present their new release, “Dentro de la luz”, in a performance which features a meticulously designed mise-en-scène

From their beginnings fifteen years ago in the alternative hard-core punk scene of Barcelona up to the present day, Standstill have always developed their own distinctive personality, a fact that they have demonstrated in such distinguished and popular recordings as Viva la guerra and Adelante Bonaparte, full of grandiose and much-acclaimed progressive soundscapes.

At 9 pm on the 24th of April the band will present Cénit (Zenith) in L’Auditori, a performance featuring a meticulously orchestrated mise-en-scène which will also serve as presentation of their latest release Dentro de la luz (Within the light), a recording replete with songs which the band themselves have characterised as “more luminous” and which have been conceived and designed to produce collective catharsis in their audiences. A musical ritual with percussion, vocals and a spirituality coherent with the imaginary stage projections, which, in turn, are reminiscent of renaissance mural paintings and religious icons.
