El musical 'Priscilla' té un ritme trepidant i un extens repartiment

The bus Priscilla calls is at Tívoli

Based on the homonymous film, the musical features a cast of 40 performers

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: The Musical is a stage musical based on the Oscar-winning film Priscilla. Following a long and successful run in Madrid, where it was seen by some 400,000 theatre-goers, the show is ready to call in at Barcelona’s Teatre Tivoli from 26 October. A cast of 40 performers feature in this story of a group of drag queens crossing the Australian outback in a beaten up bus named Priscilla. Ultimately it’s a story about travelling in search of love and friendship. The show is directed by Simon Phillips.

As in the film version, one of the strong points of the stage musical is its exuberant costumers, alongside the disco hits that ring out throughout the performance, including the classic I Will Survive. Everything about the show is grandiose: the 40 performers get to show off some 500 outfits and 200 wigs and Priscilla the bus is also present on stage. More than three and a half million people have seen the musical in different versions around the world.
