Bruce Davidson is a member of the Magnum Agency and one of the leading figures in the humanist photography movement. This retrospective exhibition, which is organised by the Fundació Mapfre can be seen at Casa Garriga i Nogués until 28 August.

The exhibition covers 50 years of Davidson’s career, including landmark series such as Brooklyn Gang, East 100th Street and Time of Change: Civil Rights Movement, as well as most recent works such as Nature of Paris and Nature of Los Angeles.

Despite starting out as a photographer at a very young age, Davidson quickly found his own distinctive style, based on a personal vision of reality in which the global perspective arrives through the juxtaposition of images of isolated individuals.
