The series of open air concerts will take place from the 21st of June to the 30th of August
From the 21st of June to the 30th of August, Barcelona’s Poble Espanyol will be hosting a series of open air concerts, Blues Nights, dedicated to a musical genre that is becoming increasingly more present and popular in our city. The performances will take place on Saturday nights during the summer months in various venues in the Poble Espanyol, some of which provide spectacular views of the city as a backdrop. Culinary services will also be available at the performance venues.
The aim of the series, jointly organised by the Capibola Blues Association and the Barcelona Blues Society, is both to offer an extensive programme of local blues artists and to contribute to the existing collaborations between, for example, the Barcelona Blues Festival and the numerous venues that habitually offer live blues performances, such as the Harlem Jazz Club, the Milano and the Jamboree.
The series kicks off with two outstanding artists, Big Mama & Sister Marion and Room 69 (21/06) and will be followed up by performances by Lonesome Rendezblues and Tota Blues Band (28/06), Cotton Roots and Lonesome Band (26/07), Óscar Rabadán & Blas Picón and Chino & The Big Bet (2/08), Mancuso and Miguel Talavera Power Trio (9/08), A Contra Blues (16/08), The Blues Prisoners and Amadeu Casas Trio (23/08) and the Sun Street Blues and Honky Two Band, who will bring the series to a close on the 30th of August.
All concerts will begin at 8 pm and are priced at 6.50 euros. Discounts are available here.
