The BARTS Club presents an evening of ska
On Friday the 25th of April, Skatalonia will perform in the new BARTS club as part of the extensive series of concerts programmed for the month of April
Over the past few weeks the collective The House of Music has been presenting an extensive programme of concerts in the small auditorium of the BARTS building, the BARTS Club, which includes performances by a number of the city’s urban musical tribes. The aim of the initiative is to provide support for upcoming musical talents.
On Friday the 25th of April, Skatalonia will present an evening dedicated to ska. The objective of the band, a recent formation consisting of seven musicians, is to revive the golden era of Jamaican ska and rocksteady. Concert tickets are priced at 4€.
From Friday to Sunday during the month of April the BARTS Club is hosting approximately forty live concerts of diverse musical genres by bands from Barcelona’s independent music scene. On weekdays, Mondays excluded, the programme is more specialised, Tuesdays being given over to reggae and dub at the hands of the collective Los Cusin del Dub, Wednesdays to Balkan Party, a combination of electronic and traditional Eastern European music and Thursdays to a series of acoustic, more intimate performances at the hands of El Club de los Notaferits.
