BARTS, breathing new life into the Teatre Arteria Paral·lel

Administration of the facilities will be taken over by The Project, who will be presenting an extensive and diverse programme over the coming months

On the 24th of January, Barcelona Arts On Stage (BARTS) came of age and, as of that date, administration of the old Teatre Arteria Paral-el will be in the hands of The Project. BART is a multi-disciplinary concept which aims to include music, theatre, comedy, circus, cinema, dance and even the propagation of science in the form of conferences and presentations.

All in all, however, the best proof of the eclecticism of the programming can be seen in the events scheduled for the coming weeks and months: music and comedy with Pablo Carbonell (14/02), the Cirque Eoloh (27/02 to 5/03) and the acclaimed staging of Henry VIII by the company Rakatá (13/03 to 24/03). The centre will also serve as a prominent venue for a number of musical events such as De Cajón! and the Barcelona Guitar Festival.

Regarding the facilities themselves, BARTS has two options: the main auditorium, with a total capacity of 1500 people, both standing and seated, and the smaller hall, with a capacity of 200.
