The Barcelona Municipal Band revisits the golden years of swing
The concert is scheduled for 29 July at the Recinte Modernista of Hospital de Sant Pau
Swings fans have a date for the evening of the 29th of July when the Banda Municipal de Barcelona is scheduled to appear at the Recinte Modernista of Hospital de Sant Pau to play a set based on the classics of the golden ages of swing, including pieces by Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Frank Sinatra. And there’s no need to hurry to buy tickets because the concert is free and seats will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
The concert is due to begin at 9pm. It’s the third in a cycle featuring the band organised by the Auditori de Barcelona. The conductor of the band for the evening will be Henrie Adams, who has been the assistant director of the formation since 2014 and has led orchestras such as the Sinfonietta de Maastric and L'Artística de Bunyol.
