The concert, which is included in the Music in the Parks cycle, will feature Broadway and Hollywood classics.
Music in the Parks is one of Barcelona’s most well established and ambitious cultural offerings in the summer months. It lasts for three months and features almost 50 concerts that are based on two basic aims: firstly, to offer the public high quality music, free of charge and in a public place, thereby promoting live music and the city’s parks, and secondly, to offer a platform for young musicians to gain experience of playing live. Although the cycle programme includes jazz and modern song, its backbone is made up of classical music and an example of that preference is this concert, offered in collaboration with the Auditori on 27 July in Parc de les Aigües featuring the Barcelona Municipal Band, who will play stage musical and film classics.
Titled Broadway & Hollywood, the concert will include pieces from musical classics like Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and all in the setting of one of Barcelona’s parks.
You’ll find additional information on the Music in the Parks website. The concert is free of charge.
