Saturday 21 October will see cultural activities for people of all ages.
It's time for the fourth edition of Barcelona International Community Day, an event designed for all of the city's foreign residents. In line with the success of previous editions, the 2017 one will see a 15% increase in the number of exhibitors.
The chosen venue is Barcelona's Maritime Museum and the chosen date is Saturday 21 October from 10am to 7pm. These nine hours will be packed with activities, including round-table discussions, conferences, and workshops on themes like settling in the city, enjoying everything it has to offer and how to build up a network of contacts. The exhibitors will include providers of all of the services needed by foreign residents in the city. Among the stands there will be one run by the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB), with all the information you could possibly need on culture in the city. If you register for the ICUB newsletter on that day you'll get a present (subject to supply).
Among the cultural activities on offer are musical performances by Coral Barcelona Rainbow Singers and Aires de Rumba. Among the talks on offer are Enjoying Barcelona as a family, Find out about the culture on offer in Barcelona and another presenting Articket, which provides access to the city's most important art museums. In the kids' area, younger members of the family can take part in workshops teaching them how to make puppets, among other activities.
