The Barcelona Blues Festival is back with more with concerts than ever before

The festival aims to make Barcelona the world capital of blues.

The 16th edition of the Barcelona Blues Festival is back with the same mission as ever: to make the city the world capital of blues by putting on concerts at a wide variety of venues while supporting the local blues scene and working in favour of social integration. To kick off the action on 13 July, the main scenario of the festival, the courtyard of the district council building in the Nou Barris neighbourhood will host performances by Johnny Big Stone & The Blues Workers, Kenny Neal and Joe Louis Walker, followed on the next day, by Keith Dunn & Balta Bordoy, Rob Stone & The Boogiers and Travellin 'Brothers.

Meanwhile, Poble Espanyol will see concerts by Chino Swingslide & Víctor Puertas on 12 July and the action will come to a close on 15 July at Castell de Torre Baró with a concert by students from the Barcelona Blues School.
