BAM and Mercè Música present the first names on the programme

Between 18 and 23 September, the city will overflow with music to celebrate the Mercè festivities

BAM, Barcelona Acció Musical, which is staged during the Mercè festivities, has released some advance news about its programme. Now in its 23rd year, the festival has revealed the names of the 13 groups that will be appearing: Los Punsetes, Blank Realm, Beach Beach, Bombino, Jane Weaver, LoneLady, Mdou Moctar, METZ, Núria Graham, Ocellot, Ryley Walker, Saun & Starr and Vetiver.

Besides this, Mercè Música, the other music programme in the city's Festa Major, has also made the first names public. Mercè Música will play the independent pop of Mishima and we'll be able to enjoy El Petit de Cal Eril together with the Free Spirits Big Band. Jaume Sisa, Quimi Portet & Joan Miquel Oliver will appear on stage together again to perform some of their best-known songs. Also, as there is every year, there will be an evening devoted to Flamenco, this year featuring Raúl Rodríguez. Marc Egea's line-up, Kaulakau, will be joining Cobla Ciutat de Barcelona to offer a unique concert, entitled Mare Uut

The rest of the programme will be announced In September, along with the various venues and times.
