B-Anime holds a winter event

The B-Anime Japanese film festival offers a day featuring a workshop and screening

Over 50 animated films are premiered in Japan every year, though few ever reach Spanish screens. The B-Anime Festival aims to resolve that discrepancy through its yearly festival. But even out of season, the festival stages some events, such as the mini winter anime festival we’re presenting here.

The event will take place at 4.30pm on 28 January at Biblioteca El Clot – Josep Benet. The plan is to screen a subtitled version of One Piece Gold, an iconic animated film that tells the story of the Mugiwara in Gran Tesoro, the greatest entertainment city in a world controlled by mafias.

Complementing the movie screening, from 4.30pm on the Sumi-e workshop on ink drawing will be held featuring Mitsuru Nagata, a Barcelona-based Japanese graphic artist who uses traditional Shodou calligraphy. All of these activities are free though registration is required.

To register and for additional information, check out the B-Anime Website.
