Arts Libris 2016: the book as art

Arts Santa Mònica to host this fair until Sunday 24 April

Barcelona’s most literary week will reach its apex on Saturday with the Feast of Sant Jordi, but the whole week will be filled with literary events, including the 7th edition of  Art Libris Barcelona’s International Book and Art, Photography and Design Publiction Fair. Book fans and professionals, producers and collectors will come together at Arts Santa Monica to talk about and participate in activities based on the book as an object and the literature related to graphic arts.

Artists’ books will occupy a special place at the fair, including graphically experimental volumes. The highlights of the activities at the fair include an international symposium featuring publishers Arnaud Desjardin and Galaad Prigent, and artist and editor John McDowall.

The weekend will also see several workshops on the creation of artists’ books which are open to the general public and require no special skills.
