The start of the summer means it’s time to update and publicise the arts data in our city. On the Barcelona Arts Data Observatory website, you can check out all the data for 2016 and compare them with previous years.
How many festivals are held in Barcelona every year? How can we measure the activity at the civic centres? Barcelona has more cinema-goers than theatre-goers, but is the difference very big? Is it possible to monitor the work of the Creation Factories on the basis of data? What activities does the Culture Institute subsidise? And what transfers does it make every year to arts consortia and foundations? With the tourism boom, have the city’s museums seen an increase in visitor numbers in recent years?
