‘In Bvlag’

13th International ARC Salon Exhibition

The exhibition at MEAM features all of the winners and finalists of the International ARC Salon Competition.

The ARC (Art Renewal Center) is a non-profit organization devoted to collecting the best works created within the field of realistic art. In additional to maintaining an online museum, the organization holds the annual ARC Salon International Competition, which sees its 13th edition this year with 3,700 works submitted from 69 different countries, of which 28% made it to the final round. Eleven of these works were acquired by the ARC for its collection. Barcelona’s MEAM European Museum of Modern Art is now displaying the best works from this edition in an exhibition that will run from February to March. This year’s winning work was the painting 'In Bvlag' by Ming Yu, while special prizes also went to Katsu Nakajima and Casey Childs.

The exhibition can be seen from Tuesday to Sunday, from 8 February to 31 March at the European Museum of Modern Art. All the winning works on display have already been exhibited in important galleries such as the Salmagundi Club in New York and the Sotheby’s, in Los Angeles.

Admission costs €9 and tickets can be purchased from the European Museum of Modern Art website.
