A benefit concert in aid of research into Alzheimer’s disease, on the 28th of September

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation, in collaboration with concert promoters, The Project, has organised a benefit concert in aid of research into Alzheimer’s disease. The performance will be held in the Palau Sant Jordi on Saturday the 28th of September.

The concert forms part of the programme of events for World Alzheimer’s Day and will bring together an all-star cast in which Joan Manuel Serrat, Barbara Hendricks, Noa, Miguel Poveda and Silvia Pérez Cruz will all be accompanied by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès under the direction of Joan Albert Amargós.

Manuel Huerga has been entrusted with the artistic direction of the event and the Palau Sant Jordi will be converted into an elegant and evocative setting for the performance.

The aim of the concert is to raise society’s awareness regarding neurodegenerative diseases and their consequences for both the sufferers as well as for the people around them. Benefits from the concert will go towards research projects being undertaken by the Pasqual Maragall Foundation.
