Andreu Buenafuente presents his new book in the +Bernat bookshop

The comedian will discuss his book of illustrations, “No entiendo nada”, in the company of comic artist Mikel Urmeneta, the creative director of Kukuxumusu

On Friday the 10th of April, Andreu Buenafuente will present his latest book No entiendo nada (I don’t understand anything) in the +Bernat bookshop. The book, published by Reservoir Books, includes over a hundred illustrations, sketches and ideas that the comedian and television presenter has compiled into one volume.

According to the director of the production company El Terrat and author of a handful of books and monologues, No entiendo nada is the result of sleepless nights spent sketching in an effort to combat insomnia. Buenafuente, who has been presenting primetime comedy programmes for some time on various television channels and who is currently directing the “En el aire” programme on La Sexta, is also a compulsive sketch artist and cultivates his hobby in a variety of media, to the point where one of his sketches appeared in The New York Times in 2008.

On this occasion he will be joined by his friend Mikel Urmeneta, himself a sketch artist and one of the founders of the Kukuxumusu brand name in 1989, a company in which he occupies the post of Creative Director. Kukuxumusu has popularised elements such as funny images of the San Fermín festival, presenting typical festival scenes in a humorous and ironic way.

Buenafuente and Urmeneta previously collaborated in 2007 when they painted two murals Hell and Heaven in New York and Formentera, presenting the results in an art gallery in Barcelona.
