The Circuit Festival and the Girlie Festival are back

Europe’s biggest gay and lesbian festivals are buzzing with activities.

Barcelona’s Circuit Festival has been running for 11 years now and has helped to make the city a reference point in the international LGBTI community. For more than a week, thousands of attendees fill the festival venues with activities, including parties, a day out at a water park, sports competitions, protests and cultural events. And this year looks to be even better than ever! This year, Circuit is being held simultaneously with the Girlie Circuit Festival, the female version of the event, which is devoted to lesbian and bisexual women. DJs and promoters from all over the world will head for Barcelona to ensure that August nights in the city are the craziest in the year, while some of the cultural activities on the festival schedule are the art exhibition 'El_Mal_Trato' by Ramón Guimares, commented screenings of the films 'Mr. Gay Syria' and 'Tom on Finland', intergenerational meetings between LGBTI people and a number of workshops on emotional well-being for gays and lesbians.

All of this will take place from 9 to 19 August in different venues in Barcelona. The Girlie Circuit Festival will take place from 14 to 19 August.

Tickets cost €400 euros for the Circuit Festival and €100 for the Girlie Circuit Festival. However, individual tickets can be purchased for the different activities scheduled and even there are some free events.
