Vil·la Florida Civic Centre

Spend a cool August at Barcelona’s civic centres

Enjoy the settings, including parks, gardens, mountains and green areas, and the activities at these municipal facilities.

Barcelona’s civic centres offer many activities that are open to everyone for free or at a low cost. These spaces are open to citizens with the aim of helping them to fill their leisure time, open up dialogues, lend a hand to new ideas and enrich neighbourhood life. Many of these civic centres were created in buildings that are interesting, both for their architecture and their surroundings, which include parks, gardens, green areas, and even mountains. In August, spending some time in places like these is pleasant both for the shade they offer and the peace and quiet that can be found there. For example, the Can Castelló Civic Center has a garden with species of flora from around the world, while Vil·la Florida has bountiful and romantic French-like grounds to relax in. You can also head for Casa Sagnier, which has a playground in an idyllic spot in the Sant Gervasi neighborhood, while one of most spectacular in terms of its setting is the Elèctric Civic Centre, which is located in the middle of Collserola. The Sarrià Civic Centre also has a garden with plants from all over the world, and paths that are ideal for a quiet walk. Finally, at the Vallvidrera Civic Centre, you’ll find a very interesting cycle of music in the park.

Barcelona’s civic centres offer activities throughout August in all of the city’s neighbourhoods.
