The 20th edition of Música als Parcs comes to town

The series Música als Parcs (Music in the Parks) celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a programme that will continue up until the 4th of September. While the programme has already commenced the main commemorative event will take place on the 20th of June and will feature the saxophone ensemble and gospel chorus of the Liceu Conservatory, who will offer their respective performances in the Joan Maragall Gardens of the Albéniz Palace in Montjuïc.

Until the series closes in September with the Barcelona Gypsy Klezmer Orchestra in the Plaça de las Glòries as many as fifty concerts have been programmed in numerous green spaces around the city, including the Parc de la Ciutadella, the Jardins de la Tamarita de Sant Gervasi, the Parc de la Guineueta and the Jardins de Gaietà Renom en Les Corts, among others. While the musical styles included in the programme are varied, the majority of the performances will come under the umbrella of jazz and classical music.
