On Thursday 25 October, audiences can see Italian film La Dolce Vita (1960), written and directed by Federico Fellini. This film is regarded by many as the director’s finest work and one of the greatest successes in the history of the cinema. It won the Palme d’Or in 1960 and many other prizes and nominations.

La Dolce Vita is a film that tells the story of the adventures of Marcello Rubini, a paparazzo who goes in search of the photo of the year. To find it, he goes from party to party with the bourgeoisie of the time. When he discovers that a famous movie star called Sylvia has landed in Rome, Marcello sees his great chance and decides to follow her all over the city until he finds the perfect moment to turn it into news.
