The principal mission of La Filmoteca de Catalunya is to recover, conserve, research and disseminate films and audiovisual works.
Situated in Barcelona’s Raval district and opened in February 2012, its home allows the Filmoteca’s services to be concentrated and optimised, with a multi-purpose offer that includes two screening rooms, a space for permanent and temporary exhibitions, a specialist library, offices, a café and a bookshop. In July 2013, the new Conservation Centre in Terrassa was opened, aimed at ensuring the preservation of our country's audiovisual heritage. More information. See transcription.
